CORI
“CORI” in dialetto siciliano significa CUORE.

CORI
“CORI” in sicilian dialect means HEART. Heart of the archaic elements of Sicily; black and rough stone, fire from the center of the earth, towards the blue. Path within  passions, contrasts and the elements of life. Breath of my land, ancient Trinacria, Cori entirely inspired by Sicily, draws its dance path from the strength of the archaic elements of this land and from the deep bond that binds me to the roots of the island. Spectators will be welcomed at the entrance of the theater with the gift of a stone from the last eruption of Etna, which will represent the first physical and sensorial contact, and which will be the guiding thread of the whole route. In fact, the show opens with an imposing picture/vision of an eruption created by carefully made effects thanks to particular scenic elements and the lights and the soundscape specially created by the digital artist Carmelo Sciuto "karmek key". The development of the vision with the strong suggestions and the theatricality of the Butoh dance, will lead the public among the songs of the fishermen of the slaughterhouse the "cialome", the scent of lemons, the Sicilian sayings, and the superlative song Cori by Rosa Balistreri, at the end between the sea waves through a colorful video with kaleidoscopic effect of fish. An immersion, a journey through the culture, color and passion of Sicily.
